HEADING EAST

We toured Fort Bridger, Wyoming, where at one point in history 25% of the US Army was stationed!

Ft. Bridger, Wyoming

Beautiful Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyanne, WY.

Did you know Wyoming was the first region in the world to give women the right to vote?

Wyoming has a proud heritage.

We camped the night at F E Warren AFB in Cheyanne, Wyoming,
home to the historical cavalry regiments

The Navy Pier, Chicago, Illinois

We toured the stain glass exhibit on the Navy Pier, Chicago.

We headed for the former Sears Tower, now Willis Tower, to go to the top.

Great views from the 103rd floor.
And a chance to go on the Sky Deck!

Leaving Chicago the next day, the traffic was heavy as drivers headed to
Indiana, Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin.

We were soon in Pennsylvania, treed and mountainous to the point they have cut in the westbound lane above the eastbound lane.

We made a stop to visit the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

We arrived in New Jersey to see the familiar corn fields

New Jersey is "The Garden State"

We arrived at the MAC terminal at McGuire AFB at 4 pm

And were miraculously on a C-17 to Ramstein AB, Germany, by 8 pm

The C-17 back door opens as we taxi

Arriving at Ramstein, we take the last room in lodging across the road from the terminal.

We have a German meal at the huge mall connected to the terminal.

Next morning we take a flight to Mildenhall, England

Then a train from Ely to Prestatyn, Wales.
